Apprenticeships & Qualifications
Apprenticeships are generally aimed at young people between ages

qualifications.

The
Apprenticeship for the marine industry offers you the opportunity
to learn the basic skills that employers need, like interpreting
drawings, selecting materials and hand tools. At the same time you
will develop everyday skills that employers rely on, such as
working with others and information technology.
You will learn advanced skills in your specialist area, which
will lead to a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 2
or Level 3 (Advanced Apprenticeship).
The Advanced Apprenticeship doesn't stop there - you could go on
to do a higher qualification such as an HNC or NVQ at Level 4.
There is likely to be a combination of on-the-job and off-the-job
training, which means that you will get the opportunity to go to
college as well as work on real company projects.
